MARC Penn Line - March 16 (Monday) schedule change
MARC Penn Line schedules will change on Monday with the completion of a major Amtrak trackwork project in New Jersey. Amtrak will return to normal weekday service, which will require MARC Train to modify our schedules. Most schedules are going back to the times that were in effect before the February 16 - March 13 special interim schedule, but there are additional modifications. Limited printed copies of the new timetable were distributed today, we ask that customers take only one copy of the new schedule. The QR code on the cover of the schedule links to a page on the MTA website to download a PDF copy. You can also download a PDF of the new timetable at www.mta.maryland.gov/Penn_March16_change . Please carefully review train departure times, ***especially southbound morning trains to Washington -- many of them will operate EARLIER*** A full list of the March 16 changes is provided at the link above, including a discussion about the more significant changes to morning southbound Train 511. Thank you for riding MARC Train.

MARC Halethorpe northbound platform - Amtrak trackwork
Amtrak is performing construction work between Halethorpe and West Baltimore stations. This work requires the track closest to the northbound platform at Halethorpe to be out of service. Amtrak has place temporary platform extenders at Halethorpe station which will be in place for the duration of the project. If you are boarding a northbound train at Halethorpe, please wait for your train on the regular platform and do not enter the temporary platform extenders until after your train arrives and you are directed by a member of the train crew. If you are exiting a northbound train at Halethorpe, not all doors will open. Please exit the train only where you see a uniformed MARC Train Conductor. These are the only sets of doors that will open. Listen carefully for announcements to determine where you need to be positioned in the train to exit. Thank you for riding MARC Train.
